Project Details
As part of the station’s modernisation, Links Signs conducted preliminary surveys to determine the installation and sizing requirements for the new signage. This early assessment allowed the project team to identify and address potential installation issues before they arose on-site, ensuring a smooth process.
The installation was strategically scheduled during nighttime engineering hours to minimize disruption to passengers. The project encompassed the installation of new vitreous enamel wayfinding signage, LED illuminated signs, and trackside signs. Links Signs’ project team developed a detailed work program, collaborating closely with London Underground’s site team to ensure timely and on-budget completion. The project adhered to a ‘Right First Time’ approach, reducing the likelihood of snags and delays.
Conclusion
The Earl’s Court Station Modernisation project was successfully completed, with all signage installed to meet high-quality standards. The collaboration between Links Signs and London Underground ensured the project was delivered efficiently, enhancing the station’s functionality and visual appeal without disrupting daily operations.
