This project was part of a broader rebranding initiative for the high-end specialty produce chain, involving the manufacture and installation of both exterior and interior signage for the store’s relaunch.
In Spring 2019, Links Signs undertook a comprehensive signage refit for the Chelsea General Store in London.
For the interior, Links Signs fabricated and installed a combination of bespoke illuminated and non-illuminated signage, including 3D illuminated letters suspended from the ceiling and 3D aluminium letters mounted on the back wall. The suspended signs featured stainless steel letters with internal LED lighting, while the wall-mounted letters were made from powder-coated aluminium, secured with chemfix resin for added stability. Additional interior signage included fret-cut vinyl on acrylic panels and a hand-painted circular shop sign.
The exterior signage consisted of 3D letters laser cut from polished brass for the shopfront fascia, as well as a protruding 3D circular sign made from powder-coated aluminium with Mirror Gold vinyl graphics. Various types of vinyl graphics were also applied to the shopfront glazing, including frosted, white, and Mirror Gold designs.
Conclusion
The successful refit of the Chelsea General Store demonstrates Links Signs’ ability to deliver high-quality signage solutions that meet the diverse needs of a comprehensive rebranding project. By providing a range of signage products and managing their installation, Links Signs ensured the store was ready for its grand reopening, reflecting the brand’s upscale image and attention to detail.
