This contributed to a 30 percent increase in passenger capacity and introducing step-free access for the first time at the station!
Project Details
The Bond Street Station upgrade, delivered by Costain and Laing O’Rourke, involved significant enhancements to accommodate increasing passenger numbers, including the addition of a new entrance and ticket hall at Marylebone Lane. Links Signs played a key role by fabricating all vitreous enamel wayfinding and supplementary signage at their facility in Hastings, East Sussex. The signage package included LED illuminated and non-illuminated signs, as well as the iconic London Underground Roundel installed at the new entrance.
The installation of all signage was meticulously carried out during nighttime Engineering Hours by Links Signs’ fully certified and accredited in-house teams, ensuring minimal disruption to the station’s operations.
Conclusion
The successful completion of the Bond Street Station signage upgrade underscores Links Signs’ expertise in delivering high-quality, durable signage solutions for large-scale infrastructure projects. Our involvement in this project highlights our capability to manage complex installations within challenging environments, contributing to the station’s enhanced functionality and user experience.
